Our Team

The clinical staff at Gestalt Associates is a multi-talented team of experienced mental health professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive, innovative, effective psychotherapy services for children and families.

Our clinical staff are trained in Gestalt principles and receive ongoing, extensive postgraduate training. Our staff is committed to learning more and teaching others. They are dedicated to providing the finest skilled and comprehensive services possible. Our team approach also offers us ongoing peer review, which is an opportunity to bring fresh ideas to challenging problems.

Norman Shub, our clinical director, is recognized as a leader in his field, and our training and community programs attract participants nationally.

While our organization has a broad range of experience with diverse populations, we also have staff and services with areas of particular expertise. These include precise and in-depth diagnosis, assessment and treatment of character problems, women’s issues, borderline and dissociative disorders, law enforcement issues, learning problems, adult and childhood trauma, emerging identity concerns, severe anxiety and depression.

Norman Color 1Norman Shub, Clinical Director, BCD, LISW-S, LPCC-S

Norman Shub is an author, teacher and psychotherapist who is a leader in the guiding of individuals, couples, families and communities toward solutions. His clear and articulate approach has earned him the distinctions of master teacher and psychotherapy trainer. Norman’s pioneering work in psychotherapy is reflected in his REAL Press Publications, which are used by therapists at numerous universities and institutes around the world. For more than 35 years, Norman has been clinical director of Gestalt Associates and the Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio. He also served on the editorial board of several professional journals.

Sara Hoover

Sara Hoover, MS, LISW

 Sara Hoover has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including community mental health, hospice, college counseling center, inpatient psychiatric hospital, day treatment and private practice. Sara has interest in and experience with a wide range of issues, including grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, character disorders and relationship issues. She obtained her master’s degree in clinical psychology at Loyola College in Maryland and her master’s degree in social work at The Ohio State University. She is also trained in EMDR. She is Gestalt trained and has been practicing at Gestalt Associates for more than 15 years.

Gestalt G VerticalMarjorie Mapes, LISW-S, RPT-S

Margie Mapes works with children, adolescents and their parents. She is a warm and caring individual who strongly advocates for young people. She instinctively relates to and understands children. Margie has done extensive training in Santa Barbara, California with Violet Oaklander, author of Windows to Our Children. She uses Violet’s highly effective model in her work with her clients. Margie’s dynamic therapeutic skills in listening, melting and supporting is known to engage young children and adolescents in exploring all parts of their selves. She finds deep satisfaction in helping parents learn to be the best parents possible by teaching them to be genuine, emotionally available and consistent. Margie is the “voice of the child” for our parenting program, Parenting from Your Heart, which is offered to our community and many local schools. Currently, Margie has moved into teaching the Oaklander Gestalt Play Therapy model to qualified clinicians.

Stacy Color

Stacy Ingraham , MSED, LPCC-S

 Stacy Ingraham has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including private practice, community mental health and higher education. She is a warm, direct and caring professional who specializes in working with adolescents and adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relational issues, grief or loss, body image, self-esteem, trauma and life transitions. Stacy has pursued in-depth training in couples counseling, eating disorders and mediation and is attending the Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio. As an adjunct instructor for the University of Dayton’s clinical mental health counseling program, she teaches graduate courses and has provided clinical supervision to new counselors. Stacy is an alum of The College of Wooster and the University of Dayton. In her free time, Stacy enjoys running, cycling, hiking, traveling and exploring Columbus with family and friends.

Matt Dunatchik, MSED, LPCC

Matt Dunatchik is a licensed professional clinical counselor who graduated with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Dayton. He has worked in a college counseling setting as well as with adolescents in an Intensive Outpatient Group Program. He believes we all have the capacity to change and to experience the fullness of life. He enjoys working with people from all walks of life. Matt’s warm but clear and engaging style helps clients experience a deep connection with him. He currently is training at the Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio. Matt enjoys playing hockey, singing, reading and hiking.

Libby Color

Libby Steele, MSED, LPC

Libby Steele is a licensed professional counselor who graduated with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Dayton. She is a warm, energetic and dedicated therapist with a direct style. Libby works closely with individuals and their families to provide a supportive and engaging environment for real and lasting change. She has trained through the Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio’s three-year postgraduate program and in the dynamic Oaklander Gestalt Play Therapy model. She is especially skilled in listening to and working with young children and their families.

JeannetteBaker Jeannette Baker, MSED, LPC

Jeannette Baker graduated from the University of Dayton with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Jeannette has experience working with individuals and families in community mental health, various nonprofit agencies, and human services at the county level.  She is warm, supportive, and passionate about helping others strive for overall happiness and personal growth. Jeannette is currently training at the Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio and frequently engages in continuing education to learn more about innovative mental health topics and to improve her counseling skills. Her favorite activities include spending time at her family farm, traveling, hiking, horseback riding, skiing, and running.

Holly Gilbert, LPC

Holly is a licensed professional counselor who completed her graduate training at Columbia University and Wheaton College. She is a warm, personable individual who has a significant passion for helping individuals reclaim all parts of themselves and, through the therapeutic relationship, become a more integrated person. Holly has experience working with children and families through community based care and believes that providing an accepting and nonjudgmental environment is integral in any counseling process and development. She enjoys practicing yoga, cooking, writing and performing music, and spending time with her family and friends. She is currently training at the Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio. 

Clinical Psychiatric Team

Raymond W. Waggoner Jr., MD
Raymond W. Waggoner Jr. is a respected child psychiatrist with a long career in administrative psychiatry and clinical psychiatry. He has served as a consultant to numerous organizations and currently serves as consulting psychiatrist to Gestalt Associates. Ray is an outstanding teacher and supervisor and is known for his integrity, sensitivity and commitment to his clients. 

Sharon Lyon-Paul, MSW, LISW-S, RN, MS, PMHNP-BC
Sharon Lyon-Paul has extensive experience working with individuals in a wide variety of settings, including community mental health centers, addiction treatment facilities and hospitals, both medical and psychiatric. She has been trained in Gestalt therapy and has master’s degrees in social work and nursing. A graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio’s three-year postgraduate training program, she is dually licensed as an independent social worker and a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Sharon is licensed and trained to provide therapy and medication for the management of mental health issues for teens and adults. Sharon provides treatment focused on the needs and identified goals of the individual and strongly believes in the healing power of a collaborative relationship.

Molly HeadshotMolly Hall, MD

Molly Hall resumed full-time clinical practice in 2017. Her most recent position was with Premier Health in Dayton, Ohio from 2008- 2016 where she served as Vice President and Chief Academic Officer, with an appointment at Wright State University as Associate Dean.  She was devoted to the support and development of physician educators, faculty, residency program directors and the well-being and progress of medical students and physician residents. She holds the position of Professor, WSU Department of Psychiatry. She has volunteered as a psychiatrist at Daybreak- the Dayton Shelter for Homeless Youth, since 2009 and now works as the Medical Director of the Behavioral Heath Services at the Five Rivers Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center, in Dayton, Ohio.  She has an extensive 30 year career that spans various psychiatric fields, including working for the Air Force. She is currently in the Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio training and is thrilled to join the team and serve the community.
